Baby Robin Rescued After Fall from Nest
A baby robin fooled around long enough Saturday morning to fall out
of its nest, located in a tree in the 500 block on Lincoln avenue, so
members of Engine 6, of the Dubuque fire department, were called to
rescue it. They hoisted a ladder, picked up the truant bird and put
it back where it belonged.
The little robin will probably get a kick out of it next year telling
some of its friends about its harrowing experience, and then continue
its practice of digging up somebodys lawn in an effort to snag
a slimy angle worm.
