CITY COUNCIL—REGULAR SESSION


Committee on Fire Department reported in favor of a Night Watchman being appointed for the City Hall, whose duty it shall be to ring the bell on the alarm of fire. —Lost

On motion the Assistant Marshal was instructed to sleep in the City Hall building, so as to be on hand to ring the town bell on the alarm of fire.

Select Committee reported that the sum of $7,000 in Scrip had been destroyed by fire per order. Received and filed.
