Boy's Prank Results In Firemen's Visit

That peculiar twist in a boy's sense of humor brought out members of Engine Co. No. 4 [6] Saturday night to the 1800 block on Garfield avenue, where a full-sized wash tub trapped between dangling wires on a telephone pole was removed.

How the wash tub got there is a matter of conjecture, but the firemen blamed it on boys in the neighborhood who had forgotten that Halloween had long since passed.

A woman who saw the wash tub in the wires and who feared that it might fall on passersby was responsible for the call which brought out the firemen.
